The mission of the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation is to advocate for the safe return of all Americans detained abroad, to protect independent conflict journalists and to educate regarding these threats to our freedom. The 2LIVES Foundation is dedicated to the support of journalists by providing scholarships for journalism students, implementing global safety training and best practices for journalists working in conflict-torn regions of the world, and promoting policy changes in U.S. and worldwide hostage laws.
